It’s been a minute – but Ariana Grande released new music again (finally).
We are playing it all day on The Nassau Mix – and we have the official music video for “Yes, And?” here.
In the Madonna-esque house song, Grande tells critics she doesn’t care what they think, alluding to relationship rumors and body-shaming comments she was met with in the past year. “my tongue is sacred / I speak upon what I like / protected, sexy, discerning with my time,” she says in the song’s bridge.
Today, they released their new single, Waffle House, from their upcoming album, simply called, THE ALBUM, coming out May 12th.
“It was a last-minute addition,” Nick shared. “At first, it was a bit of a head-scratcher, but the more I listened to it, the more I loved it. I think it really encapsulates a moment in time for us. Musically it taps into some of my favorites: Doobie Brothers and Bee Gees, and others from that era. It’s a really, really, fun song. We can’t wait to play it live.”
The debut record of the supergroup Boygenius has finally arrived, along with a fearless new track called “Satanist” that demands your attention.
Boygenius, which consists of members Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus, all shine together in “The Record”, their first full length LP since starting the group back in 2018. They’ve released a few songs in the months leading up to the release, such as “Emily I’m Sorry”, “True Blue” and “$20”. However, “Satanist” stands out as being one of the more rock oriented songs on this album. With all members trading vocals, this track features raw and emotional lyrics that explore themes of darkness and self-destruction. There are elements of punk, grunge and even metal, all while the group still manages to keep their distinctive sound and harmonies within the song. Overall, “Satanist” is an impressive addition to the Boygenius discography and fans will certainly appreciate their unique sound.

[Verse 1]
I know it’s a bad idea
But how can I help myself?
[?]
I thought a few drinks, they might help
But it’s been a while my dear
Didn’t want the life’s card dealt
I’m still holding back these tears
While my friends are somewhere else
[Pre-Chorus]
I pictured this year a little bit different
When it hit February
I step in the bar, it hit me so hard, how can it be this heavy?
Every song reminds you’re gone
And I feel the lump form in my throat
‘Cause I’m here alonе
[Chorus]
Just dancin’ with my eyes closed
‘Causе everywhere I look, I still see you
Time is movin’ so slow
And I don’t know what else that I can do
So I’ll keep dancin’ with my
[Post-Chorus]
Eye-ye-eye-eyes
Eye-ye-eye-eyes closed
Eye-ye-eye-eyes
Oh, I keep dancin’ with my
[Verse 2]
Delusion is here again
And I think you’ll come home soon
A bird [?] brings me right back in
And it’s only me that’s in this room
I guess I could just pretend
The colours are more than blue
But I lost more than my friend
I can’t help but missing you
[Pre-Chorus]
I pictured this month a little bit different
No one is ever ready
When it unfolds, you’re getting a hole, how can it be this heavy
Everything changes, nothing’s the same
Except the truth is now you’re gone
And life just goes on
[Chorus]
So I’m dancin’ with my eyes closed
‘Cause everywhere I look, I still see you
Time is movin’ so slow
And I don’t know what else that I can do
So I’ll keep dancin’ with my
[Post-Chorus]
Eye-ye-eye-eyes
Eye-ye-eye-eyes closed
Eye-ye-eye-eyes
Oh, I’ll keep dancin’ with my
Eye-ye-eye-eyes
Eye-ye-eye-eyes closed
Eye-ye-eye-eyes
Oh, I’ll keep dancin’ with my
[Bridge]
They’re shutting the bar, they’re cleaning the floors
And everyone is already home
But I’m on my own
[Chorus]
Just dancin’ with my eyes closed
‘Cause everywhere I look, I still see you
Time is movin’ so slow
And I don’t know what else that I can do
So I keep dancin’ with my
[Post-Chorus]
Eye-ye-eye-eyes
Eye-ye-eye-eyes closed
Eye-ye-eye-eyes
Oh, I keep dancin’ with my
Eye-ye-eye-eyes
Eye-ye-eye-eyes closed
Eye-ye-eye-eyes
Oh, I keep dancin’ with my
The legendary hyperpop duo 100 Gecs is back with a new song and a brand new crazy album!
Last week the band, which consists of members Dylan Brady and Laura Les, dropped the video to their new song “Dumbest Girl Alive” along with their new sophomore album titled “10,000 Gecs”. The song is one of the last singles from the album to be released, as the band have put out a few songs over the past year including “Mememe” “Doritos & Fritos” and “Hollywood Baby”. The song opens with a sample of the THX deep note theme song, before completely exploding into a chaotic metal riffs and deep trap beats while Laura sings about many “Dumbest Girl Alive” problems, like giving her brain away and putting emojis on her grave.

Lizzy McAlpine has officially broken the “Ceilings” with her new viral song. The 23 year old singer-songwriter has gotten a lot of attention lately on TikTok after many different videos were made using the sped up version of “Ceilings”, which was originally released last year in April. Actress Victoria Justice even got in on the trend and made her own “Ceilings” TikTok of her running down the street with an umbrella as the sped up version plays.
According to a Billboard interview, McAlpine has had plenty of practice, beginning to write songs on piano at age 12 and picking up the guitar a year or two later. She attended Berklee College of Music for two years — “a huge growing period for me as an artist and also as a human,” she says — before dropping out to pursue her career.
